Week 23 – 31st August

Despite a very windy and cold afternoon, plus three families with their youngsters in Tasmania for the Australian Cross Country Championships, numbers were depleted.

However, we appreciated the folk who braved the conditions and completed their activity.

Victory members are also thrilled and very proud of the great results of our three youngsters Owen, Cleo and Annie who competed in Launceston at the Australian Cross Country Championships. Please check out the report in Victory Facebook.

Harry Stubbs and Hudson Bryant ran very well in the 1k. Both boys finished very close as they sprinted to the finish.

Two members this week, despite the wind, both managed to clock up personal best times. Well done to Henry Tait who was 1st home in the 2k and his mother, Annalies, who won the 3k.

Considering the autumn and winter we have experienced with very high rain falls we are grateful for having already been able to conduct 23 Saturdays of activities. For this reason, many thanks to volunteers and all who have attended.

Looking forward to Week 24 on Saturday 7th September, remember 1st Saturday of the month means a shared afternoon tea!

Members, visitors (and dogs on leash) always welcome. Start time for run / walk, 3.00pm.

Quote for the Month:
We delight in the beauty of the Butterfly, but do we consider the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty?
