Humble apologies for the delay in posting Week 9 & 10 results.
Many thanks to all members and many visitors who competed at Willandra during the latter weeks in May following the extreme weather pattern and rainfall which was responsible for many schools and Regions using back – up dates for their Carnivals.
Week 10 on the final Saturday of Autumn over 70 runners and walkers were able to participate on a relatively safe course. Much appreciation to all for a great afternoon of great competition.
Despite a showery afternoon and very cold conditions some members and visitors braved the conditions for their first day of winter activity for Week 11
Congratulations to four young members who achieved PB’s. Turning 9 in December
Tommy Dziubinski set a new record for the 2k Distance bettering his time set earlier in the season. Henry Tait, first across the finish line for the 1k distance also achieved a PB.
Not to be outdone by the boys, sisters 8 yr old Hayley Astin-Briggs was second to finish in the 1k achieving a massive PB. Sister, 10 yrs old Ashleigh ran a very impressive 2k and also achieved a great PB.
Well Done, every one !! A warm cuppa and a lovely afternoon tea was enjoyed by all to conclude our first day of winter activity.
Members are reminded of the Allcomers invitation for visitors to join us next Saturday 8th June. All Victory Financial members are not required to enter. ALL your Names will be on our normal recording sheets.
