Despite a number of members away for the Easter break it was pleasing to see many braving the very warm conditions. Our thanks to all participants for a great afternoon of running and walking. As the weather starts to cool down we look forward to seeing some longer distances contested. Well done to three competitors who completed the 8k and 10k distance and appreciation to a number of visitors. This week Congratulations are also in order to 3 members who managed to set new Best on Record times for their age and distance. Owen Harlor made a significant improvement on his 2k record set last week taking off 41 seconds ! Tommy Dziubibski also set a new time for 9 years boys 2k Best on Record, A great effort boys. However, not to be outdone by the boys, Annie Dziubinski also managed to lower her 3k record set last week by 3 seconds. A fine effort considering the warm conditions. The visit from the Easter Bunny assisted by Lorraine & Frank was very much appreciated. As the youngsters finished their activity with much excitement, eagerly set about finding their attractive Easter egg ! A very big thankyou to the Stevens for their effort in this added attraction. To conclude the afternoon a very delicious afternoon tea, provided by all in attendance was enjoyed by young and old alike !! Just a reminder, we will now be starting Saturday afternoon activities at 3.00pm. New and trialling members always very welcome.
