Ideal weather – Course improving without rain!
Since starting XC competition in mid-March, Victory Runners & Walkers finally enjoyed almost an afternoon without rain! Some excellent times were recorded, considering the course still has some quite wet patches.
Jai Burbage set a new record for 5yrs & under boys 1k, finishing the distance in 5:46. The 7yr boys 1k record of 5.00 set by Owen Harlor last year is also being challenged by Thomas Dziubinski. However congratulations to 9yr old Annie Dziubinski who powered home in the 2k to set a new record of 9:54. Well Done.
Visitor to Willandra, 13yr old Kaja Wolter was very impressive with a win in the 3k, covering the distance in 12:30. 12yr old Maddi Oke in her first run over 3k did well to clock 13:58. Masters competitor Crissy Suffolk was also pleased with a PB time of 14.20 to place third.
