Windy Willandra certainly lived up to it’s winter name on Sunday 11th. June for Victory’s Week 13 of walking and running activity.
However, despite the weather, 16 members braved the conditions and proudly finished their chosen distances with the ‘wind chill’ factor well below 9 degrees. Well done everyone.
Just a reminder for members who may wish to have a run at Willandra on Saturday 23rd June in the Greater Bank Fun Run
Please check out the program below. We also hope to have some of our younger members competing in the age events of the Waratah Series Challenge.
This Annual event is a great opportunity for Victory Runners to attend, especially when it is conducted on our home course, offering a rare chance to witness the state ‘Top’ athletes of all ages competing in cross country.
Free pony rides will be on offer and weather permitting, a Jumping Castle will be set up for our active youngsters.
Club president Kevyn Davis unfortunately, due to an injury will not be running in his age category 8k event, but will have on show some of his prize winning and very attractive rare poultry breeds.
The Willandra Canteen will be operating all day with plenty of hot food and drinks, plus great coffee from Jacks Expresso van.

Finally, another reminder for Sunday 24th. Week 14 for Victory Runners. Please bring something to share for morning tea after your activity so we can bid farewell to Eva & Erich Moeller Duhme and the Harrison family.
Both families will be boarding planes next week and heading overseas for a number of weeks touring, visiting relatives, doing some running and missing most of our Australian winter.
Quote of the week:
Don’t ever be embarrassed by your failures, learn from them, and start again. Richard Branson
