Cool weather conditions were very much appreciated by 24 runners and walkers as they lined up for Week Six on Sunday morning at Willandra.
The much need rain that fell on Saturday made conditions a little softer underfoot. Possibly this also contributed to some good improvements in times. Three of these participants are worthy to note.
Kevyn Davis reduced his 8k time by three minutes, Zara Jobson took two minutes from her 3k and Leonie Whiting managed to better her 4k walk time by one minute. A very good effort all round.
Eva Moeller – Duhme in her steady consistent form upped her distance from 4k to 6k this week and was rewarded for the extra energy used by being a recipient of the sweet treat lucky place card draw. Darcie Johnson 4th place overall was also a recipient of the draw.
The secret time this week had to feature Sunday’s date (29). For the second time in six weeks Kanun Onsel managed to win this again with his 2k walk time of 19:29 ! Well done everyone.
Sunday May 6th will be at Willandra for Week 7. New and interested participants always welcome.
