Week Three – 8th April

A clear sky and very warm conditions greeted 34 runners and walkers as they gathered on the start line at Willandra for

Week three of Victory Runners Sunday morning activity.

We congratulate our primary school runners for their results and participation in recent school cross country carnivals.

Just a reminder that participation is more important than placing as our quote for week three emphasised…..

However, we all enjoy some surprises, especially when it is chocolate. Congratulations to the three lucky place card

draws, namely Melinda Day, first timer who tackled the 4k, Darcie Johnson, lucky winner for the second time and six

year old Jacob Wilson, also a new member along with his older brother Brodie and their Nan Liz Nimmo.

Secret Time requirement for the sweet treat award this week was the time that featured either number 8 or 4 twice

(date & month ) This was achieved by two runners, Scott Jobson 18: 58 and Kieren Harrison. 42:04.

Well done to all participants and keep aiming to improve your times.

Results are published in finish order with times followed by distance run or walked.

We continue with activities through the school holidays.

Visitors to the area during the holidays are very welcome. Potential members certainly welcome to come and try out.

Walk or run is your choice, ranging from 1k through to 10k.

Age or ability is not your choice but certainly not a requirement for Victory Runners.
